81: The Lost Lapras | ||||||||
Dodgy
Synopsis
Ash and Misty begin to fear they are trapped on a desert island, but don't seem at all relieved when they discover other people, perhaps they were secretly hoping to re-live their own version of The Blue Lagoon? They enter the theme park of Tangelo Island (pronounced in Yankee speak as Tan-jello, oh how irritating) and are greeted by two Hula girls. Alas not Team Rocket this time. Ash goes all macho in an attempt to impress Misty when some bullies pick on a baby Lapras, but before he can do his bit an enormous shadow falls over the sun and a shambling, grotesquely overweight human being hauls it's enormous bulk onto the screen. Just kidding, of course, Tracey is far from a fatty fat fat fat, that title goes to Shayne Warne, he's just ACCORDING TO TIM a chubby chub chub chub who humiliates the bullies by revealing their Pokemon's bad conditioning. Ash takes it upon himself to help the Lapras get back to it's family and after revealing he knows Professor Oak (his Daddy), Tracey invites himself along on their journey, much to Misty's chagrin, as she wanted her Ashy-Boy all to herself, she doesn't want to share him again. The highlight of this episode (for Lex) was the very interesting way Tracey was seated on the back of the truck. Just what was he doing with those hands. One can dream. Team Rocket arrive, of course, and Tracey is instantly taken by the wonders of a talking Meowth. He asks Meowth to speak for him but before he can, Jesse stomps on his head and then conversationally chats with the others as she occasionally stomps Meowth again and again. The moral? Never, ever, steal Jesse's thunder. Ash, desperate to prove his machoness to Misty now that another man (albeit a chubby one) has once again arrived on the scene, chases Team Rocket after they steal Lapras, and ends up accidentally capturing it, then makes out that it was his plan all along. Tracey - a Pokemon Watcher who also enjoys watching females - makes good on his threat and goes along with them on their tour of The Orange Islands. They are supposed to be taking the G.S Ball back to Oak but he seems more than happy to let them continue on their roundabout way... hmmm, we wonder if it has anything to do with wanting some spare time with a certain Mrs. Ketchum? That dirty Old Man.
