253: Just Add Water |
Dodgy Synopsis
Anyways, Misty complains about the hectic pace Ash is setting and demands they take a rest, until Brock notices a cave tunnel and suggests it might lead to the ocean. Suddenly Misty's tiredness is forgotten and she hauls ass towards the tunnel. Wow, it seems that if you want the "old" Misty back.... Just Add Water They come out the other side of the tunnel and find themselves on the beach, and Misty decides to call her Pokemon out to enjoy the water. Politoed stands and claps retardedly while the other Pokemon enjoy the water, and then Psyduck pops out from behind Misty's legs and rushes towards the waves, then panics as the tide rolls in. They head on down the beach, spotting a sign advertising a Pokemon Synchronised Swimming show just up the beach, and this time it is Brock's turn to zoom on ahead after imagining the idea of pretty girls in figure hugging swimsuits. Ash and Misty catch up to him and find him by a young man at a shitty ticket stand that looks like an abandoned refrigerator box. The youth tells them that a show is just about to begin, and leads them to a rather impressive looking stadium/gym on the shore. They enter, but they're the only ones there, and things get even worse from there when the Pokemon in the pool in the middle start swimming and a decidedly unfeminine leg kicks out of the water.... it's a guy! Brock breaks down in desperate, horny horror and moans that it isn't right, while Misty enjoys the show and Ash just grins vacantly, having no clue of what the hell is going on. But the twerps aren't actually the only people viewing, another trio are watching as well, though from outside the gym and without the benefit of tickets. Yes, it's Team Rocket, and we're just in time for another patented crazy Meowth Giovanni fantasy as the Scratch-Cat imagines stealing the Water Pokemon and giving them to Giovanni. "The Boss'll awake after a good night's sleep, walk outside and peel off his robe fer a morning swim!" declares Meowth as we see Giovanni tear off his bathing robe to reveal he is wearing a VERY small speedo..... and nothing else! "He is wearing swimming trunks, right?" asks James, concerned. Giovanni dives into the pool and swims along with the Water Pokemon, which cheer him on before he proclaims in a suspiciously Meowth-like voice that ever since Jesse, James and Meowth gave him dese Water Pokemon, he's been so happy. Then we see him lying on a deckchair, soaking up the sun with a Qwilfish on his disturbingly muscular stomach. While Meowth shares his terrifying naked Giovanni fantasies, Brock is upset over his unfulfilled naked ladies fantasy, telling the young man who sold them their tickets (and performed in the show!) that he was hoping to see some girls in bikinis. Misty insists that Brock actually loved the show, and the youth introduces himself as Dorian, the Leader of the Stadium/Gym, which is actually a private Gym for now (or such is his excuse for the shitty size of the crowd). He takes them on a tour of the interior, and they are surprised to see pictures of Dorian with, of all people, Misty's sisters! Dorian explains that Daisy, Lily and Violet are his idols and he wants to make a gym just as good as theirs is. Excited by the family connection, Misty asks if they ever mentioned her when he met them, and Dorian draws a complete blank, until he finally remembers them mentioning that they did have a younger sister, but she was a disappointment, out of control and a loser! Well, if you want the old Misty back, Just Add Water. If you want the old Misty PISSED, just bring up her sisters! Furious at the cavalier, off-hand way her sisters have completely dismissed her, she snaps that SHE is the most talented of the four, as well as the most beautiful. For his part, Dorian is surprised that she is the "baby" that the trio referred to, and then adds that he always thought Lily was the prettiest. Misty is furious, and shouts down Brock when he tries to intervene before challenging Dorian to a battle. Meanwhile, Jesse is enjoying travelling through the water in their Magikarp Submarine, and why not? She's not doing anything! As James and Meowth struggle to peddle the submarine through the ocean, Jesse is just sitting on her ass doing nothing. Meowth growls at her to help out a little and James cattily warns him not to knock the "queen" from her pedestal. Oh James, we all know you're the Queen! Suddenly a shock hits the submarine and they're sent flying from their seats. James looks outside and discovers that they've been surrounded by various Water Pokemon and are under attack. He suggests that the submarine should be sturdy enough to withstand the damage, and then it springs and leak and Team Rocket find themselves sinking again! Back in the Gym, Dorian is showing the twerps his underwater battlefield when they notice a giant Magikarp thrashing about.... but it takes Misty to remind Ash of what the sight of a giant Magikarp usually means, Team Rocket! The sub surfaces and Team Rocket leap out to suck in lungfuls of air, not really mindful of where they are but happy just to be alive... and then Ash rushes up and roars at them not to steal anything. They are understandably upset at this baseless accusation, but Ash ignores them and sends out Totodile which blasts them with Water Gun, before Dorian's Mantine uses Bubble beam and then a Double Water Gun from Totodile and Lanturn sends Team Rocket blasting off again... FOR NO REASON! With Team Rocket unfairly and unjustifiably dumped, the twerps turn their attention back to Dorian and Misty's battle.... with one slight change, Ash is now demanding that HE get to have a fight first! They quick begin, underwater and using mouth pieces to breath, while artificial gravity appears to have been installed in the water. Totodile uses Water Gun but Lanturn dodges, returning the favour which Totodile also dodges. Then Lanturn confuses Totodile with Supersonic before hitting it with a Take Down, then smashes into the crazy little gator from below and smashes it out of the water. As Totodile flies through the air, Lanturn jumps above it and smashes into it again, crashing Totodile into the ground as Misty warns Ash that in a Water Battle, you can be attacked (and attack) from all directions. Ash considers this, and comes up with an award winning strategy.... HIT IT! HIT LANTURN TILL IT STOPS TWITCHING! Moments later Totodile has been electrocuted and hit with Take Down, knocking it out and giving Dorian the victory. Ash calls Totodile back to its Pokeball and congratulates it on an asswhupping, and then Brock tells him not to feel bad since it was Dorian's environment. Ash agrees (what battle? who are you? What's this yellow thing on my shoulder?). Now it is Misty's turn, and Dorian decides to negate his homefield advantage by allowing her to decide the rules of the match. Misty decides they'll have a three round battle, winner being best two out of three (or at least this is the agreed intent, as what she actually said was "3 on 3", but upcoming events negate that). Misty calls out Goldeen to begin, and Goldeen leaps out to declare bravely.... "Psyduck!?!" Yes it seems Psyduck has decided now is the right time to jump out of its Pokeball, and discovering itself underwater, it immediately panics and flees to the surface, rushing to the side and breathing roughly. A short time later, we find it relaxing a bit more comfortably in an inflated flotation device, while in the water below Misty tries to get over the embarrassment as she calls out Goldeen. Dorian chooses Qwilfish, which easily dodges a Horn Attack from Goldeen and tackles the fishy Pokemon. Misty orders Agility and Goldeen manages to dodge attempted Tackles by Qwilfish before scoring a hit of its own with Horn Attack. Trying to press the advantage, Misty orders a Supersonic, but Qwilfish resists the attack and fires Pin Missile back, Goldeen using her tail like a fan to divert the attack. Goldeen zooms in with Horn Drill, but Qwilfish dodges and this time scores a hit with Pin Missile, taking Goldeen down and winning the round. Up 1-0, Dorian calls Lanturn back and sends in Mantine, and Misty responds by calling on Corsola. Elsewhere, Team Rocket is understandably irritated with the twerps, and plan their revenge while wearing figure hugging wetsuits. Oh like you wouldn't. Mantine uses Super Sonic, but Corsola takes it on the chin and then smashes into it with Tackle, knocking it back. Dorian orders it to respond with Wing Attack, and it manages to smack Corsola about several times before dodging a Spike Cannon and smashing into Corsola with Take Down. Corsola is sent flying through the water and crashing into the ground, but Misty remains confident and calls for Recover.... and Corsola is back up and ready to fight! Mantine is pounded with Spike Cannon and then Tackle and.... Misty wins Round 2! Dorian calls back Mantine and sends Lanturn in, but before Misty can counter.... a huge whirlpool comes out of nowhere and knocks everyone down! "Prepare for trouble, youıre about to get pumped!" declares Jesse. "And make it double after the way we got soaked!" adds James, because you couldn't exactly say,"Humped" on a kid's show, could you! To protect the world from devastation." "To unite all people within our nation." "V is for victory, so donıt you forget!" "Weıll be victorious and wonıt break a sweat!" "Jesse!" "James!" "Team Rocket blasts off like a torpedo in flight." "Surrender now or prepare for a watery fight!" "Chop chop, datıs right!" adds Meowth, inside a giant crab robot that they apparently found lying on the shore, probably from the aftermath of one of the frequent giant robot battles that appear to be the norm in Japan. The Crab-Bot forms a whirlpool and begins sucking up all of the Pokemon, which are powerless to prevent it until Corsola manages to knock a whirlpool forming claw up, which begins sucking Psyduck down from the surface where it has been chilling in its rubber tube. Misty swims through the water and smacks Psyduck aside, but then gets sucked into the whirlpool herself, and when Dorian and Corsola try to get to her they suffer the same fate. The robot turns and flees, its tanks full of stolen Pokemon (and two humans!), leaving behind Ash, Brock and.... Psyduck! They get out of the water and Ash calls out Noctowl to try and find Team Rocket, then the unlikely trio of heroes head out after it. Meanwhile, Misty and Dorian have been gagged and tied up.... Hey hey! ....and Team Rocket are gloating over their success when they once again discover the poor quality of their exit strategies.... they've apparently gone roughly 200 metres up the road and stopped, since Ash, Brock and Psyduck have already found them. James calls out Victreebell and we instantly get out usual "head swallowed" joke, while Jesse calls on Arbok and Ash calls out Phanpy, which declares...."Psyduck!?!" Yes to everyone's surprise, Psyduck looks pissed off and ready to fight, and Team Rocket stare in surprise at this odd, out of character development while Brock unties Misty and Dorian. They all rush back to Ash and watch as Psyduck stares Team Rocket down, then turns and stares in blank confusion at the twerps, who pratfall comically. Jesse sends in Arbok which bites down on Psyduck's head while Victreebell uses Razor Leaf, and Misty orders.... Arbok to bite harder! Dorian is confused, but there is method in her madness, as the excruciating pain she willingly inflicts on her Pokemon causes its headache to hit just the right level.... and then Psyduck lets rip with a massive blast of Confusion, then Psychic, sending a surprised Team Rocket blasting off again, doing Wobbuffet impressions all the way. If you could, you would. Dorian is quite amazed, Psyduck is incredibly powerful! As they check their rescued Pokemons' condition, Dorian tells Misty that she is just as tough as her sisters and that the next time he sees them, he'll tell them so. He takes a picture of him and Misty, and then the twerps head off on their way again, agreeing to call their match a draw out of mutual respect. Yeah, also your Gym wouldn't look too hot if you lost to a little girl's retarded duck.
