246: I Politoed Ya So!

I Politoed Ya So!
The twerps and their Pokemon settle down for an after meal nap, though Politoed wakes up to notice two rice balls are left (maybe the ones Cyndaquil coughed up?) and heads over to grab them. One of them slides free of its club-like paws and tumbles down the hill and Politoed chases after it. It crawls through the bushes at the base of the hill, and is spotted by an angry lady who demands to know why it is clapping, and what the hell "Bean" has done with its red headband. Grabbing it by the hand, she escorts it away saying it must be hungry after such a long game of "Hide and Seek", walking away while off in the distance watching on is a confused looking Politoed with a red headband.
The girl leads Politoed to a courtyard outside what seems like a school building, where a bunch of Bellossom, Sunflora, and Jumpluff are waiting. They all stare at Politoed, confused, and the girl seems to finally realise that it isn't Bean. Politoed doesn't really care though, as it begins happily clapping, and to the girls surprise and delight, her other Pokemon begin dancing and moving in tune with it.
Back at the clearing, the twerps are returning their Pokemon to their Pokeballs when Misty rushes over, saying that Politoed is missing. They start looking about in an effort to find it, and promptly fall into a hole. Confused, they wonder out loud what a hole is doing there, which is a silly question really.
"Prepare for trouble with a hidden pitfall!"
"Make it double if you're up for a brawl!"

"To unite all peoples within our nation."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love."
"To extend our reach to the stars above."

"Team Rocket can dig a hole at the speed of light,"
"Surrender now or prepare for one nasty fight!"
"Out wit da light!" cries Meowth, throwing a cover over the hole.
As the twerps demand to be let out, Team Rocket spot Bean and think it is Misty's Politoed. Jesse demands that Meowth go and get it, much to the Scratch-Cat's surprise, but it agrees and leaps forwards.... and gets slapped back by Politoed's tongue!
Jesse and James are impressed by this disgusting move and make it an offer; they'll let Politoed join Team Rocket! They woo it with offers of great chances for promotions; a pension plan and great Christmas parties, and all Bean has to do is sign their contract... and ignore all that small print. But in the meantime the twerps have let themselves out of the hole and snap at Politoed not to listen to Team Rocket. Jesse and James angrily snap that the twerps don't know anything about their contract, and the twerps ask if they really get a pension plan and chances for promotion. Wobbuffet salutes and cries, "WOHHHHHHHHHHH!" but can't bring itself to finish, and all the colour drains out of Team Rocket before Jesse calls Wobbuffet back and Politoed informs Meowth, "No thanks."
Ash commands Pikachu to use a Thunderbolt and sends Team Rocket blasting off as Misty runs over to Politoed, then gasps that it is cute, but it's not her Politoed!
Meanwhile, Politoed and the other Pokemon are having a great time, moving in time to Politoed's clapping. The twerps come walking up the road following Bean as Misty guesses that its trainer mistook her Politoed for hers, and then she spots the girl, Politoed and all the other Pokemon. Misty says it looks like they're cheerleaders, then gently explains to poor dim Ash what cheering is until he finally clicks (or at least pretends to).
Bean sees that Politoed is going great and gets upset, rushing to the girl who initially is pleased to see it, then hardens her heart like some kind of Egyptian Pharaoh and says it has been replaced by a better Politoed, then gets the rug pulled out from under her when Misty informs her that it is HER Politoed.
They introduce each other, the girl giving her name as Tammi as Politoed runs back to Misty's side (though its arm stays IN FRONT of Bean who is standing closer to the camera.... geeez guys, you don't need to have studied animation to see that is a screw-up) and then Tammi asks Misty if she can borrow Politoed for her cheerleading troupe.
They get to see Politoed in action as it claps in time for the other Pokemon, and Tammi then takes a break to talk up how great Politoed is as she again tries to get Misty to hand it over. But the twerps are more concerned with Bean, that is standing off to the side looking lonely and upset. They feel bad for Bean and Misty decides they should do something, while at a cliff looking over the practise area is Team Rocket, who have a disturbing group fantasy about doing a cheering routine with the Pokemon for a happy Giovanni.
The twerps follow after Bean as it walks away and try to convince it to return, but it ignores them. Ash and Pikachu say they will go sort it out while Brock insists that he and Misty go "take care of Tammi" and she agrees, with no idea of what sick ideas Brock might have in store for her.
Ash and Pikachu find Bean trying to emulate Politoed's clapping, and Pikachu walks up to it and tries a dew different funny faces to cheer it up which almost works until Ash breaks cover by guffawing like a moron. He walks out and tells Bean they want to cheer it up, but it responds by turning and shoving Pikachu over on its fat ass, and then storms off.
Tammi is still begging Misty to let her use Politoed for the competition and Misty tells her she should be working with Bean, but Tammi wants to win and promises to bring Politoed back afterwards. She explains that she is desperate to win to gain fame, so more people will pay attention to her, because she thinks she can make the world happy by watching her sing and dance.
Oh, she's an attention whore.
The Pokemon Group undertake a routine, making a pyramid that collapses beneath their weight, and Tammi roars for them not to let themselves get thrown off, angrily snapping at them that they've messed up when Politoed is doing so much for them. The Pokemon begin crying and she tells them to man up, which causes Misty snaps at her to stop being such a fucking BITCH. She walks over to Politoed which begins slowly clapping happily, getting all of the other stupid, useless Pokemon into a good mood again with some mindless chanting. Tammi watches and remembers a more innocent time when she comforted a baby Bellossom, or cheering for some Sunflora or giving encouragement to Bean. She cries as she realises what a fucking whore she has become and Politoed claps happily either in an effort to cheer her up or because it thinks girls crying is awesome (it might be Japanese?).
As she cries the Pokemon cheer for her and she takes this to mean that they forgive her, so she hugs them all happily much to Brock and Misty's delight.... until a giant Politoed robot storms in, controlled by Team Rocket. It fires out a giant mechanical tongue and grabs the Pokemon, Tammi, Misty and Brock and heads off, with Ash and Pikachu running after only to fall into a pitfall filled with pink flypaper, meaning Ash and Pikachu can't get out. A mechanical claw grabs Pikachu and another mechanical hand/scissor snips Pikachu free as Ash yells at it to use Thunderbolt.... which does nothing, as the robot is insulated.
The robot prepares to head off, only to be stopped by Bean standing in their way. They threaten to turn it into guacamole and fire their tongue at it, but it jumps clear and uses Water Gun to free everyone (because apparently the electric insulation didn't do anything abut water). Furious, Jesse tries to stomp it with the robot's foot but Tammi grabs Bean and pulls it free, and then they take time out for Tammi to apologise and ask it to come back to the team. Misty and Politoed also pledge to work together, and Politoed begins clapping the Pokemon team into a routine. Politoed headbutts Arbok and knocks it silly, then Bean uses Doubleslap on Arbok before Politoed uses Water Gun and the Politoed robot (which has pom poms) tries to convince it to get back up as the cheer team encourages the Politoeds. They use a double Watergun that hits Team Rocket in their cockpit (which is apparently open) and soaks the robot, allowing Pikachu to bypass the insulation with Thunderbolt and send Team Rocket blasting off again. Pikachu falls into Ash's arms and Politoed and Bean clap in unison, much to Tammi's delight as Bean begins leading the cheer team.
As the sun sets, the twerps say goodbye to Tammi, and both groups promise to cheer each other at their respective tournaments. They head off, Tammi waving goodbye while the cheer team cheer away, proving that there is something more useless than a cheerleading squad or a group involving Sunflora, Bellossom, Jumpluff and Politoed.
And that's Sunflora, Bellossom, Jumpluff and Politoed in a cheer squad.
