Synopsis
So, he and the group head out to Professor Oak's lab. They find that Gary is also visiting. After comparing the two boys' Pokédexes, he concludes that Ash has seen more Pokémon, but Gary has caught more Pokémon! Professor Oak is trying to reconcile the differences between Ash and Gary, possibly because he wants his son and grandson to get along. Brock cries, "I THINK I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND!" and holds up Vulpix (don't worry, he explains that Sophie liked Vulpix and Vulpix likes Brock so therefore Sophie likes him!) Gary then says "What is it with this guy?" and Misty says something that doesn't really mesh with her pissed off expression. Oak informs Ash that the Pokémon League is only once a year, and happening in two months. They go into the Poké-ball room, to see all the Pokémon of the people of Pallet town, and notice all 20 of Ash's Safari balls. These are the Tauros he caught in the Safari Zone in the Dratini episode. Giovanni gets angry at Team Rocket and Jesse and Meowth run and hide behind James, who just looks pathetic. He turns and looks at the two of them in surprise as if to say, "Since when did I become the man?" Jesse, James & Meowth are going to the castle to quit, that's right, they're going to leave the bad guy business! But then Giovanni's castle is destroyed by Mewtwo, which also ties in nicely with the movie, and he tells them not to screw up, and they take it as a vote of confidence! When Jesse and James are trying to sneak into Professor Oak's reserve and Jesse grabs Geodudes hand. They kind of stare at each other, then Geodude blushes! It's so funny, because Jesse instantly gets really angry and flings him away. Anyway, they go out to see all the places where the Professor raises and studies Pokémon. Ash and Gary decide to have a battle, but are interuppted by Team Rocket. Oak is impressed by Meowth's talking, but as soon as they try to steal Pokémon, Ash's Tauros run by, trampling and blasting Team Rocket into the air. Oak tells Ash that he is responsible for saving Oak's lab, as they were his Tauros, but he is also responsible for reparing the fence, which the Tauros trampled over.
