53: The Ultimate Test

Jesse lists her occupation as 'Diva' and claims to be 17, which we don't believe for a second. James also signs up and makes the mistake of calling Jesse old, and she slaps him around some before he realizes it's her.
He makes a bitchy remark about her choice of clothes, saying "Jesse, is that you? That outfit is atrocious!". Another notch in the belt of our James arguement.
The tests begin and Jessie is kicked out for complaining the tests are way too hard. It's revealed that Koffing was first discovered in a public restroom and seeing Magikarp drives James wild with anger, see the episode "Pokémon Shipwreck" for the answer to this.
Ash and James make it to the third part of the test where you fight with your examiner's Pokémon. Ash fights with Weezing and wins. James is delighted to see Pikachu by his side, but when he looses to a Graveler he sends out two Pokémon at once which is against the rules and is kicked out.
Meowth is left by Jesse and James playing contentedly with a ball of yarn, but after seeing a regular Meowth being beaten because of Ash's incompetence he speaks up and The Trainer becomes enraptured with the concept of a talking Meowth.
They end up with the normal Meowth and the teacher with the talking one. We are never told how they get Meowth back.
For revenge, they attack the school with the Pokémon they got, but the Pokémon turned on them because they were owned by the instructor. Ash decides then that it would be easier to get all of the badges rather than go through these tests and he leaves the school.
Of all the contestants, Nurse Joy comes first (Nurse Jooooy!) and Jesse comes last, with Ash and James tying for 2nd to last place.
