| 30: Dig Those Diglett |
Dodgy Synopsis
Ash, Misty and Brock share a hot spring, not an uncommon occurance in Japan but still a subject of filthy conjecture by freaky webmasters like us. When Team Rocket sit down to eat, James says he'll have 'tea' which turns out to be a bowl of Japanese noodles complete with chopsticks. Oh, and he wears a very cute bib so as not to spill any of it. On their way to Fuschia City, the group notices a great explosion. When the workers realize building the dam will affect the local Diglett population they just up and leave. Environmental responsbility by giant corporations exists in cartoons at least, we're pleased to see. Gary arrives with his girls and buses full of other PokŽmon trainers to get rid of the Diglett. Ash gets confused as to whether Gary's cheerleaders are pokŽmon. Poor little Ashy. Brock finally admits "I'm desperate for a woman". Poor little Brocky. They find out that a dam is being built, but they cannot get supplies through because the Diglett are stopping them. The Diglett and Dugtrio have a catchy tune going (Diglett Dig, Diglett Dig, Trio Trio Trio!) and cause huge damage to the local roads and the dam being constructed. None of the PokŽmon will leave their balls, because they don't want to fight the Diglett. The Diglett are trying to keep the dam builders from destroying the forest they live in. Pikachu shows Ash and the group this and then the builder realizes this, too. He then decides to cancel the dam project. Team Rocket arrive on the scene with their newly evolved Weezing and Arbok. Meowth 'phones' up someone and wonders "if it's possible to get traded to a less emabrrasing team" after J&J speal off and pose madly. They battle and they loose as usual. The twerps then continue on their way to Fuschia City.
