20: Bye Bye Butterfree

No more Butterfree, the annoying little f%#ker finally buggers off.
Dodgy things to be seen in this most pleasing of episodes include Butterfree's rejection by all the others until it spots a pink Butterfree, which ignores it until it gets a jaunty little scarf and proves how butch it it by taking on a helicopter.
As the group continue on their way, they notice a group of Butterfree out over the ocean. Brock informs Ash that it is the mating season for all of the Butterfree and Ash releases his Butterfree to find a mate amongst the others...... hehehehe "mate".....hehehehe.
Butterfree is obviously concerned about it's masculinity and picked the most effeminate Butterfree to mate with, throwing on a scarf and doing stupid, masculine type things to impress the lovely little lady.
I know a few people like this, and I regard them with smug contempt, much as I regard Butterfree.
Butterfree falls in love with the pink Butterfree, but is shot down. He tries again with a more aggressive approach, but is again turned down.
Team Rocket flies in and successfully captures all of the Butterfree. Ash's Butterfree chases after them. They eventually find where the Butterfree were taken and fight to free them. Butterfree tries with all his might and frees them from the net. Team Rocket chase after them again, but are Pikachu lands on their chopper.
One of the coolest scenes ever appears in this episode, with the quick flickering back and forth between Pickachu pressed against the helicopter window and Jesse and James recoiling in shock and repeating again and again, "It's gonna shock us! It's gonna shock us! It's gonna shock! It's gonna shock! It's gonna! It's gon! It's!" alternated with Pikachu going,"Pikaaaaaaaaa."
And then ZAP!
Most amusing.
The pink Butterfree falls in love with Ash's Butterfree for it's courage and the two happy Butterfree take off across the sea.
