MORAL LEARNT
543: The Thief That Keeps On Thieving!   548: Yanyanma! Getto Sakusen!    Mosquito Coast           The twerps help an incredible loser capture a mosquito    Reduced to insanity and stealing crippled mosquitoes     One mosquito is as good as any other!

With the Wallace Cup over; Dawn's confidence restored; and May and her tits heading back to Johto, the twerps are back on their meandering track towards Ash's fourth Gym Badge. Dawn can't believe she has her second ribbon, but Brock pointedly looks down at her short skirt and declares,"It's real... and it's great!"

A Yanma flies out of the foliage as they move along the shore of a small lake and lands on Ash's head, then Brock's. It flies over the lake as a little kid comes running up to them asking if they saw the Yanma. They tell him they did and he rushes off to follow the lake around to the other side, and they figure they might as well follow him. So much for forward progress, the show keeps stealing time away with these little interludes and diversions, it's....

The kid has cornered the Yanma and calls out a Piplup called Pippy, which surprisingly has a little tiara on its forehead that by an amazing coincidence can serve to differentiate it from Dawn's Piplup (what an amazing bit of luck!). The kid tries to capture the Yanma using Pippy to fight, but it gets its ass kicked even with Ash's advice (which amounts to "be better at this!"), and the Yanma escapes.

A short time later, they all sit drinking from their thermos and canteens, the two Piplups shaking each other’s hands like loopy Uncles at an upper class family reunion of eccentrics. The twerps introduce themselves and the young kid does back, he's Tyler, and Pippy is his first Pokémon, just like Dawn's was Piplup. The tiara was a gift from his Mother, but his journey has only been going for a week, and for nearly half of it (three days) he's been chasing Yanma. He vowed that the first Pokémon he touched would be the first one he caught, and when the Yanma landed on his head, an obsession was born. Dawn remembers catching her Buneary, and we even get a flashback to Ash and his Caterpie, so they offer to help him catch the Yanma since that'll do wonders for his self esteem, needing the assistance of three other people to catch one mosquito.

After a quick search, Staravia spots Yanma and Tyler jumps into battle. Pippy tries a Bubble Beam that Yanma dodges, but that leaves it open to peck, and Pippy goes in for the kill! Next is Pound, and again Yanma takes the shot, but then it comes back, looping for a Quick Attack, but Pippy uses the wonders of looped animation to hit another Peck and Yanma goes down! Finally Tyler has his chance, and grabs out his Pokéball in preparation to...

TEAM ROCKET!

Their Magikarp Submarine bursts out of the lake which apparently is not very wide but IS very deep, and Team Rocket burst out straight into their motto, including James making a comment about bummers and rings.... (snicker!).

"Is that the sound of negativity I hear?"
"Bummer badgering rings loud and clear."
"On the wind!"
"Past the stars!"
"In yer ear!" screams Meowth.
"Bringing chaos at a breakneck pace!"
"Dashing all hope, putting fear in its place."
"A rose by any other name's just as sweet."
"When everything's worse, our work is complete."
"It's Jesse!"
"And it's James!"
"Meowth, dat's a name!"
"Putting the do-gooders in their place."
"Team Rocket!"
"In your face!" they all finish together

Thrusting their crotches into the camera, Jesse pops a Pokéball out from under her skirt (oh!) and casually tosses it down to the ground where it bounces off of Yanma and..... catches it! They submerge their submarine and disappear, leaving Tyler behind standing shocked and dismayed...... AHAHAHAHA! WHAT A LOSER!

Piplup looks under the water but can't find the submarine, Brock suggesting all the lakes and ponds in the area might be connected underwater. Ash is furious that they stole Yanma, while Tyler is just about to break down into tears after seeing all his hard work ruined in a moment by an evil criminal organisation that has been reduced to capturing crippled mosquitoes.

But the twerps tell him to buck up and not give up the fight, and he quickly gets over his mopiness and forgets all about the poor little mosquito that is now in the clutches of an evil trio of criminals. Another Yanma flies by and he decides to catch that instead, rushing after it as the twerps chase him. It's kind of troubling that he finds all the mosquitoes so interchangeable as potential "best friends" but hey, one mosquito is much the same as another, and hell... for all we know it IS the one that landed on his head in the first place! It's not like he's kept it in view the entire time!

Meanwhile, Team Rocket are celebrating their pathetic triumph, Meowth convinced that THIS time they have JUST what the Boss will want. As the sun sets, out of nowhere arrives.... DELIBIRD! They triumphantly hand it the little package with the Pokéball inside it and tell it that if it loses this, it's in big trouble. They sob with relief, the crippled half dead mosquito they stole of a little boy will finally make them into big shots!

The twerps make camp for the night after failing to track down the other Yanma, Brock preparing the meal as Ash shows off his badges and Dawn her ribbons. Tyler isn't entirely sure yet if he means to be a Trainer or Coordinator, and the twerps enjoy the chance to show off by offering to display their Pokémon.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket have settled in for a night of obscene fantasy!

As Jesse imagines promotion, James imagines seconds (a "meat" dish?) and Meowth considers dirty nothings whispered in his ear. In Kanto, Giovanni is having a late night, petting the Persian on his lap and demanding to know why two Rocket Grunts have come to his ridiculously huge office. They show him the Pokéball and tell him it comes from "a Jesse, James and Meowth", and when he just stares, they explain to him that they're representatives from Sinnoh. Completely oblivious to their existence (which is probably just as well), his laptop uses some technical whiz-bang to reveal it's a Yanma inside because he can't even be bothered to open it. Giovanni asks how their supply of Yanma is currently doing and is told they've recently received a large number of them. They ask what The Boss intends to do, but he seems more interested in petting his cat.

Oh like you wouldn't.

The next day, the twerps are ready to track down Yanma, and Brock has done his part by making some Pokémon food designed specifically for Yanma. Meanwhile, Team Rocket are looking upon the beautiful morning as a new day, a new dawn, and a new life, for themmmmmmm..... and they're feeeeeeeling good!

But as Meowth considers shaving his whiskers, Delibird returns, sack in hand, and Meowth "signs" for the package as they eagerly consider what their reward might be. They open the package and it's a Pokéball, and Meowth is insanely positive that it's a powerful Pokémon, and the others follow his mad lead and call out the Pokém-

It's Yanma.

They stare at each other, unsure what is going on as it lands first on Jesse's head, then James'. Finally Meowth realizes what has happened, after all the years of lunacy and patented Crazy Meowth Giovanni Fantasies...he sees the truth!

Giovanni.... Giovanni...... Giovanni...... GAVE THEM THE SAME REWARD BACK BECAUSE HE WAS SO TOUCHED BY THE GIFT!

Oh Meowth, you so cwaz..... actually scratch that, he's just completely fucking insane!

But Jesse and James are willingly deluded, weeping in appreciation. Yanma is returned to its Pokéball and Jesse declares that since she caught it, she should be the one to keep it. Surprisingly, the others happily go along with this, but Jesse has a rare moment of selflessness, noting that kindly Giovanni is getting the short end of the stick. James vows to catch a new Yanma to gift to The Boss though, and with newfound determination they set of.

Meanwhile, Tyler has encountered a bit of luck in some more looped animation that allows him to beat up on another Yanma. Ash shouts at him to throw his Pokéball, but as he does, Team Rocket come skidding in and block off the hurt Yanma, calling out their own to fight them off as they try to capture the other. Ash is determined to prevent history repeating though and sends out Chimchar, which is really overkill since the moment the level 1 bug goes swooping in, Chimchar.... SETS IT ON FIRE!

Meowth's reaction is not restrained.

James and Jesse are offended, how dare they attack their precious Yanma? Meowth leaps in with Fury Swipes, clawing up Chimchar's face in a crazed lust-rage. James calls out Carnivine, but Chimchar is no pushover and smashes a Flame Wheel into them, horrifying Jesse, that's their gift Yanma! Yanma backs off and scoops up a ball of Ancient Power, tossing it at Chimchar which dodges, so Yanma reacts by.... evolving!

INTO A MONSTER!

It's Yanmega, and it will devour us all!

"NRNN-NAHHH!" it declares as the twerps check it out with Dextina. Jesse calls for a Sonic Boom that knocks back Chimchar, then knocks back the twerps. As Team Rocket celebrate though, the other Yanma wakes up and flies away.

Team Rocket give chase but fail to find it, and end up lounging on top of the Magikarp Submarine, Yanmega resting happily but menacingly on Jesse's head. James is confused as to how it evolved, since it needs to learn and use Ancient Power first, but insane ol' Meowth knows! Obviously (obviously!) The Boss took the time to teach it before returning it to them, and they're once again overcome with the love and respect that Giovanni showers down upon them. They become determined, using Yanmega they will capture a whole host of head hugging Yanma and give them to The Boss!

The Twerps, meanwhile, are once more using Brock's Yanma food to lure one in. As it lands to eat, Pippy leaps out and PUNCHES IT RIGHT IN THE FUCKING FACE, sending it flying back.

But as it falls, Team Rocket come back AGAIN! They tell the twerps to go be losers somewhere else, and when Ash demands to know how they'll do that, Jesse replies by.... blowing a raspberry and flicking her tongue up and down at him.

So many would do so much to be the subject of half of that sentence.

I'll leave you to decide which half.

Ash sends in Buizel and Jesse has Yanmega leap high into the air and prepare a blast of Ancient Power, but THE BUIZELSTER HAS CLIMBED THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN AND SWUM THE DEEPEST SEA, BROTHER! AND JUST LIKE IT TOOK DOWN YOKOZUNA IT WILL BODYSLAM YANMEGA AS WELL! It dodges Ancient Power, slams it with Aqua Jet ("Da Boss' gift will shrink!" squeals Meowth in horror) and then blasts it direct with Sonic Boom, sending it falling into Team Rocket's arms. Pikachu then blasts them off with Thunderbolt, and as they fly through the air they decide to e-mail The Boss a picture of Yanmega to show how well it is doing (oh that can only end well!), then hug Yanmega happily as they blast off, declaring that blasting off with Yanmega is a real blast!

The Yanma, meanwhile, has recovered and figured fuck it, might as well eat that food. Tyler sends in Pippy again, and the whole thing unfolds along the same tracks as before, ending in Yanma taking a direct Peck to the midsection then a Bubble Beam to the face, and a final Peck for insult. The crippled, battered Bug hits the ground and Tyler throws his Pokéball, which wobbles and BOOP's until finally.... YANMA ESCAPES!

Hahahaha, Tyler fucking sucks!

He goes back to ol' reliable Peck, liquefying Yanma's insides, and tosses the Pokéball again, and after an interminably long time wobbling and BOOP'ing, it finally beeps! He caught it! He caught the crippled, battered, half dead level 1 mosquito!

With celebrations done and the sun setting, the twerps and Tyler go their separate ways. Tyler is heading to Lake Valor while the twerps head on to Pastoria. Brock gives him a bag of food to take with him, and they wish each other luck, the twerps suggesting that the little loser might want to think about finding some friends (i.e, not useless retards) to travel with. With that, they go off on their journeys through life, each better for having met the other.... and Team Rocket has an insane giant killer bloodsucking, soul-crushing Bug Demon!

It's win-win!
