664: A Home For Dwebble!   670: Ishizumai! Jibun no Ie o Torimodose!   Emancipation from Emasculation                 The twerps help a homeless, emasculated shell-fish gets its manhood back.   Got their hacking know-how from Mission: Impossible.   Never humiliate bullies who outnumber you unless you have an exit strategy!

Today finds the twerps in a rather picturesque setting, sitting in a small stone valley with a river running through it, vibrant greens on the grass, bushes and small trees of the forest surrounding them. They've stopped for lunch, Cilan making a potato salad with cracked pepper and fresh tomatoes to make a sandwich. As he rabbits on about it, Iris just grabs the sandwich straight off the table and begins wolfing it down, insisting that she'll just eat it as is, no need to cut it in two. Ash is asleep at the table, bored because he's not fighting something or eating something or yelling at something or meeting God. Cilan cuts up a sandwich for him and wakes him up, and he scoffs it happily down. Pikachu and Axew are eating from bowls at the table, enjoying the food until Axew suddenly senses something alarming. It grabs Pikachu and drags it amongst the stones, pointing out an odd and cute little shellfish type Pokémon. It is tapping curiously at a rock, and the twerps join Pikachu and Axew to stare at it, Cilan identifying it as a Dwebble... though one without a rock on its back like normal. Ash checks it out with his Pokédex and learns that they find suitable rocks to use as homes, digs holes in them and slides most of its body inside. They figure that the rock it is currently checking out is a prospective home, and Cilan is excited (he'll even ship Pokémon and rocks!?!) due to the rarity of this sight - they may be about to see Dwebble creating its rock-shell. It begins clawing at the underside of the rock busily, and a delighted Ash jumps up blurting out his excitement, hauled back by Iris who warns him not to scare it off. Chastised, he settles in, and they watch the creation of....

It chips away at the rocks with its claws then spits liquid at it, surprising Iris. According to the Pokédex it can make the rock easier to chip at, and they take in this information that the little shellfish SPITS ACID quite calmly. Having made the hole and shaped the rock, Dwebble backs its ass in and out, looking over its shoulder nervously like a girl who isn't sure if her boyfriend really means it when he says this is something special they can share between them. Cilan explains that the rock will be its home for life so it wants to be sure it works, but it seems satisfied with the rock finally and spins about happily. Cilan tells Iris that this is what a Dwebble normally looks like, and Iris thinks it is amazingly cute. Just then the ground shakes and three other Dwebble emerge, one much larger than the others with a far larger rock on its back. The twerps wonder if they are friends with the little Dwebble, but if they are they're jerk friends! The two smaller ones attack Dwebble, which hunkers down under its rock and uses Protect to protect itself from the attack before coming back with one of its own. But the two Dwebble appear to share their Protect and make it far stronger, and as it is knocked back, the Alpha-Dwebble leaps up and smashes its rock into Dwebble's, knocking it off of its back as it crashes to the ground. It then picks up Dwebble's rock, slaps it on top of its own and fires an adhesive liquid around it, creating an even BIGGER rock.

Oh my God these rocks aren't just houses, they're status symbols, they symbolic cocks!

The twerps leap up horrified to see Mother Nature's cruel standard operating procedure and demand they leave Dwebble alone, because nothing makes bullies respect a weakling like authority figures having to stand up for it. They smirk and dig down through the stone, and Dwebble angrily chases after, Ash shouting encouragement to it to go get its home back. Cilan sends out Pansage, telling it to use Dig and help Dwebble.... but he doesn't actually tell it which Dwebble or what help is needed. It digs down through the rock, and returns a short time later and explains to Cilan what happened, babbling syllables of its own name as it gives a detailed but completely incomprehensible statement of facts.

Dwebble digs up out of the rocks again, but it is still homeless. The twerps approach to offer commiseration and it freaks out to see them, which again is pretty standard fare for nature. It takes off in an utter panic (brief side note, I absolutely love it when you see a Pokémon freaking the fuck out and running away from well meaning humans, I don't know why, I just do!), chased by the skin monsters booming loud noises at it, including a thoroughly delighted Iris who leaps across rocks to get ahead of it.

She crouches down and tells it that it doesn't need to be afraid, and it rushes away in utter panic from her only to find Ash and Cilan in its way. The humans, having boxed it in and now leering over it, tell it that it doesn't need to be concerned, and Pikachu tries to offer a more approachable explanation.... and it slashes Pikachu in the face and then throws a rock into Pansage's!

Horrified, Cilan rushes to check on his Pokémon, and an alarmed Dwebble joins him, worried that it might have somehow hurt another Pokémon when it threw a rock hard into its face. They apply potion to Pansage and help it recover, telling Dwebble they don't blame it, it was panicking and upset over losing its house. Iris suggests that they can help it find another home, but it insists that it wants the one it already found and made. Ash can understand a headstrong desire to throw down with somebody far, far stronger than you and insists that they'll help, but for some strange reason Dwebble doesn't want to be emasculated even further and waves off their help, digging down into the stone. Well, if it doesn't want to be emasculated, then the twerps are positive that going ahead and helping it ANYWAY will be sure to make it feel like more of a man!

Elsewhere in a city somewhere in Unova, Pierce is waiting against the side of a building when Team Rocket appear across the other side of an alleyway. One minute they weren't there, a car passed by and then there they were, though Pierce seems unsurprised. He and Jesse nod to each other and head down an alleyway, disappearing again after another car drives by. Underneath the road in an abandoned subway tunnel where they can talk without risking being overheard. Pierce lifts a hand to reveal a ring with a crystal on the underside, which emits a light and creates a screen in the air. On the screen are blueprints and schematics for the Antimony Research Lab, where all the research and data on the Meteonite can be found. Their mission is to break in and hack into the computer servers to get the information, and Jesse grins that this sounds like a good time.

The last time Jesse tried to "hack" a computer she thought she could pull on the cable and it would haul the information directly through the air to her....

Back in the valley, Pidove has returned with no sight of the Dwebbles. Pansage emerges from the ground, having found nothing either, and then Dwebble returns having exhausted all possible hiding locations as well. The twerps decide to settle down for the night, and ask Dwebble to join them, and its fear of emasculation doesn't stretch far enough to turn down a free meal. It happily joins them in chowing down on food prepared by Cilan, but while it enjoys them, we discover the horrifying truth that apparently spraying some antiseptic on the face of a Pokémon that had its skull caved in by a rock doesn't actually fix its concussion. Pansage is eating when it becomes woozy and crashes onto its back, and a startled Cilan finds it is running a fever... and he's out of potions!

Iris tells him not to worry though, she and Axew saw some herbs that are good for fever earlier in the day, and she sets off to find them. Returning a short time later, she uses a mortar and pestle to mix up a liquid she spoon-feeds to Pansage, breaking the fever though it'll need sleep to recover its strength.

Wow, now Cilan is the one feeling emasculated!

Ash is impressed by Iris' knowledge, and she laughingly asks what else did he expect? Axew happily chimes in, while Dwebble stares on.

WHO'S THAT POKEMON!?!?! IT's.... oh, it's just Dwebble again.

Later that night, Cilan wakes up and finds Dwebble watching Pansage sleep. He tells it not to worry, Pansage will be fine in the morning, and it should stop worrying and get some rest so it can get its home back tomorrow. It hears Pansage murmuring in its sleep and pulls a blanket up over its body, then settles down to sleep next to it throughout the night.

Meanwhile at the Antimony Lab, Team Rocket are scaling the walls with a grappling hook. Using goggles they pick up the laser trip-wires protecting the doorways and windows, and zip easily enough through them, using an access card security bypass probably provided to them by the Boss to get in and access the ventilation system. Peering down into the gigantic server room, they lower a propeller hovering computer system that hooks into the system, and James uses whatever software is on their own computer to beat the password protection, giving them unfettered access. James begins copying the data over, their mission seemingly completed.

The next morning, Pansage seems to be much better, flipping about in delight. Iris is pleased, and Cilan again can't thank her enough. Dwebble shows up to check on Pansage, which bows a thank you when it learns that Dwebble was up all night keeping an eye on it. They all set off together to find the trio of Dwebbles and despite having no luck finding them the previous day, find them immediately. Pansage jumps down to help Dwebble even the odds, and the bullies immediately retreat, since a fair fight is in no way as much fun as a three on one beat-down of a much weaker opponent.

Axew chases after them so they won't be able to escape, but rushing around a corner it find that they're already disappeared into thin air. It can't figure out where they could have possibly gone, there's certainly no sign of them anywhere in this corner of the stone valley with nothing but three out of place rocks sitting tucked incongruously against one wall.

It begins to walk away when their laughter gets its attention and it turns around to face them. Since there is only one Axew they're eager to fight, but then the other twerps show up and suddenly it's not even an even fight, now THEY'RE outnumbered!

Alpha-Dwebble sends it two cronies in, Dwebble getting past one but not the other and being sent crashing back. Ash wants to send Pikachu in to help out, but Dwebble insists that it will take on all both at the same time and then the Alpha as well, and they reluctantly agree to let it get its ass handed to it. It leaps through the air and is sent crashing backwards, and it can't penetrate their Protects, getting smashed up, beaten up and knocked dizzy before the laughing trio depart down deep into the rocks.

After recovering, Dwebble is told by the twerps that it simply isn't feasible for it to take on all three at once.... it needs to separate them somehow and they want it to at least accept their help for THAT! Cilan has an idea, though, a tremendous idea, an idea straight out of a sitcom!

As ridiculous jazzy music plays like something out of a 1970s action movie, the twerps set up their trap. The Dwebbles emerge from the ground to get at the tasty food, and Axew, Pansage and Pikachu rush off in different directions, causing the Dwebbles to chase after them and separate. Dwebble is now able to deal with them one at a time, going after the first of the cronies and.... getting backhanded indifferently away!

Oh Lord, it can't even take on ONE of them!

But it makes up for size and strength with smarts, as it leads the crony in amongst the rocks to make up for its own lack of a rock-shell. Spotting a large rock perched precariously atop a ledge, it leads the terrifyingly powerful crony (it slashes right through a rock by itself!) after it, dodging an X-Scissor which causes the rock to come rolling down and crash into it, sending it flying. Lying dazed and hurt, it can't escape as Dwebble comes in with an X-Scissor of its own followed by a Slash and.... that's one crony down!

Axew leads the next Crony towards Dwebble, which is nowhere near as tough or even as smart as the former. A Slash gets its attention, and then when it chases after Dwebble it gets caught by its rock shell between the gap of two large rocks and traps it in place. Unable to escape, Dwebble hits it with an X-Scissor and knocks it out, and now the only Dwebble left is Alpha-Dwebble.

They approach it as it greedily eats, and when it realises that Dwebble is approaching it turns and notices for the first time that its cronies are gone. The twerps mock it as Dwebble appears to be flipping it the bird, and now it's fair and square.... except one of the two is far larger and has a rock-shell on its back! It turns and blasts itself rockfirst at Dwebble which dodges, but when Dwebble tries to hit a Slash the Alpha turns its back and Dwebble has to put on the brakes in mid-air, terrified of damaging the rock-house it so carefully built for itself. The Alpha slaps it away as Cilan realises that it doesn't want to damage its own home, but this puts it at even more of a disadvantage. It dodges a Slash from Alpha-Dwebble, but this puts it clear enough to be hit by a Smackdown.... but it's not done fighting yet. It rushes at the Alpha then backs away, rushing down into a narrow path with a rock bridge over the top. The Alpha tries to follow and gets caught in place, and Dwebble smashes it in the face with X-Scissor. Cilan is impressed, but the Alpha-Dwebble didn't get that status by being a pushover, and it smashes Dwebble right back with a Slash and sends it flying.... and then it explodes in a crackle of burning white light.

This was Shell Smash, according to Cilan, a move that lowers defence but creates extra attack power. Dwebble draws in the cracked parts of it broken "shell", the glowing white claws growing longer and longer as it smashes in with a super-powered X-Scissor.... and SHATTERS the rock of the Alpha-Dwebble, breaking lose its own rock in the process and leaving the Alpha naked and humiliated!

Even more emasculated than before, the Alpha digs down into the ground to hide its shame, while Dwebble checks out its rockshell nervously and then happily slots itself back in.... it's home again! The twerps cheer for it, it regained its home AND manhood and it did it (mostly) all by itself!

Back in the abandoned subway tunnel, Team Rocket hand over the data to Pierce, who is impressed and notes that he can see why they were the first Agents to make it into the Unova Region. They thank him but play it down, saying they don't need praise (okay who the hell are these people, they're not Jesse, James and Meowth!), and they part ways agreeing they'll wait for further orders.

In the valley, the twerps are ready to say their goodbyes to Dwebble. They laugh as they tell it not to lose its home again before preparing to leave, which really isn't funny since it's still outnumbered 3 to 1.... but this Dwebble really IS smart, it has a plan for that too! As they prepare to leave, it follows after calling out, and they realise that it didn't just find a home in the rock, it found a home with Cilan too! It wants to come with them! Cilan is pleased, and happily agrees to take it along, waffling on about tastes and flavours and blah blah blah, but the end result is that Dwebble is a catch and he's the one to get it, not Ash! Woohoo! Catching it in a Pokéball, he belatedly asks Pansage what it thinks and luckily enough it's pleased to have the Pokémon that gave it a near-fatal concussion along for the ride. So off they go, once more on the way to Nacrene City, but with a new Pokémon along for the ride.
