460: Pinch Healing |
Dodgy Synopsis
Meanwhile, Brock has hearts in his eyes, looking forward to making breakfast with Nurse Joy. But then he hears a cry from Chansey and rushes to join it, he finds Nurse Joy passed out on the floor! It's like come cruel version of his wildest dreams! Freaking out over how unwell he looks, he holds her in his arms and screams out,"WHAT HAPPENED!?!" Oh dear, Nurse Joy out of action in a Pokémon Centre? This is going to call for some.... It's the flu apparently, Professor Oak giving the diagnosis to them after they put Joy to bed. She sits up in bed and moans she can't rest with all the work to do around here, but the twerps insist they will look after the Centre for her. Brock declares that he will always be there for her, and starts to wax poetic on this subject until an angry Max grabs him by the ear. Professor Oak insists that since no one else is currently at the centre, they should be able to handle the healing duties. Yes they're walking through the forest, Jesse complaining about Harley knocking them all so far away they couldn't book a return flight. James notes that his Cacturne packs a punch, and so would you if your trainer dressed like THAT. They reach a fork in the road and Meowth moans he doesn't want to decide which way they go, but luckily Jesse comes to the rescue by tossing a branch into the air in order to decide their fate. Apparently Wobbuffet embraces chaos, because it expresses GREAT delight in this action. The stick falls and whacks off of a Diglett and then a Gloom, startling them into action. Gloom fires up Stun Spore and paralyses an Electrode which falls out of a tree (apparently Electrode perch in trees now?) and rolls down the hill and off the cliff where it smashes into the hood of a bus, exploding and leaving a massive dent before rolling on. Back at the Pokémon Centre, Joy has finally gone to sleep and Oak tells May she needs quiet, at which point Max charges in yelling about there being an accident on the mountain road. Oak runs into reception where Ash has taken the phone call and they learn that the bus was full of Pokémon because it was being driven by a "Poke-Sitter", who is someone who looks after other people's Pokémon. The Pokémon Centre has its own car, so Professor Oak suggests they get Scott to drive it for them. At the crash site, the car pulls up and all of the Pokémon are let into the van. Scott chains up the bus and then notices some Fearow flying by, watched by a Bagon. According to Dexter, Bagon longs to fly but can't because it's basically a Blue Yoshi without all the jumping ability of a white man playing basketball on an inner city court. Up on the cliff, Team Rocket have decided the pluck the twerps cherries... I mean berries... I mean pluck them like ripe Orin Berries. They'll grab all of the Pokémon after the twerps do the work of healing them, and then eventually they'll evolve into much better Pokémon. Bagon sees a Butterfree and runs after it, followed by the Poke-Sitter (Matt) and Ash. Bagon leaps off of a rock after Butterfree and lands on its head, and when Ash asks if it is okay he gets head-butted for its trouble! Matt explains after it runs off that it doesn't like being touched, and then explains that Bagon was trying to fly like Butterfree. It will be able to fly once it becomes Salamence, but till then it'll have to wait, and Ash says he knows how hard waiting can be. At the Centre, Max stops Whismur's crying by petting it under the ears and feeding it while Seedot and Swinub enjoy balling May... I mean playing ball with May. She spots Larvitar watching and tries to convince it to play too, but it responds by firing up Sandstorm and knocking her back.... it seems that ALL Larvitar are emo, not just Ash's old one. Meanwhile, Brock is pouring cold water on a bruised Wooper, and after it runs off happily, Professor Oak takes the opportunity to.... come on to Brock!?! Maybe it's the pink apron, or maybe Oak is just so lonely without Delia, or maybe he is actually serious, but he starts talking up Brock's amazing gift for getting Pokémon to "open up". It seems that as far as Oak is concerned, convincing anything to "open up" is about the best thing you can do. Outside Scott is repairing the bus, joined by Brandon's assistant shows up to tell him that he hasn't heard from Brandon yet, oh and also it isn't raining and he hasn't read today’s paper, and a meteor hasn't struck the Earth. In the forest, Ash and Matt have reached the cliff point view of the valley and waterfall, which was their original destination before the crash. They hear Bagon and spot it standing on a cliff and trying to fly, though not too successfully. It leaps into the air, little chubby arms flailing wildly and managing to move forward a few inches before plunging into the water. They run alongside the river as Bagon hits a stone and drags itself up out of the water. Carvanha launch out of the current and try and eat it, only to be Thundershocked by Pikachu. Ash comes running up towards the section of river that Bagon is stranded in and.... HOLY SHIT ASH IS HERCULES! Yes, Ash just found a tree trunk (possibly tore it out of the freaking ground), lifted it bodily, ran with it and threw it all without raising a sweat! But if Ash is Hercules, the Carvanha are Jerkules, and start chewing and biting at the trunk as Bagon tries to walk down it to the shore. Ash calls out Sceptile which jumps onto the log, sending Bagon flying through the air, and Matt cries out for it to fly! Fly! FLY! It flaps its arms frantically and slows its descent enough to land in Matt's arms, but the crisis isn't over yet, Bagon is burning up with a fever! At the Centre, Nurse Joy is awake and wishing she could help, but May and Oak tell her to relax. Larvitar pops its head around the door and Oak approaches it happily, not hearing May's warning and getting Sandstormed away. Max tells them that Bagon is in trouble, and they rush it on a stretcher to the operation room, and inside Oak and Nurse Brock get to work as the twerps sit inside waiting. Outside as the night sets in, Team Rocket decide now is the time for the Pokémon pinching to begin, and dress up like Larry The Cable Guy in order to "fit in with the common people" May and Max start feeding the Pokémon as Matt moans that this is his entire fault, despite Ash's protests. He then notices that May and Max have figured out the personalities of the Pokémon he is caring for, and discusses with them and Ash about how important it is for a Pokesitter to take into consideration the personalities of Pokémon in his care, as well as the different way their trainers have raised them. Just then in walks Professor.... BROCK!?! Yes he's popped on a white coat to indicate his temporary Doctor-nicity, telling them and then some more frauds come rushing in - Team Rocket! They tell the twerps they're here to help them take a load off, they're from the Union of Assistant Poke-Sitters! They grab all of the Pokémon and start loading them up into a trolley, Jesse holding Matt back and telling him that the Pokémon need to be in quarantine, after all, they're smoking! Or rather, the trolley is, as it creates a smokescreen and Team Rocket escape. Brock rushes off to tell Oak what has happened, but Bagon's fever takes a turn for the worse and Oak has to get back to the equipment to try and monitor what is going wrong. Luckily for them both, Nurse Joy is up on her feet and feeling better again, as it turns out that she was just suffering from one of those pesky four hour viruses! Outside, the twerps rush around trying to discover the assistant Poke-Sitters, when suddenly a Happy Buddha Face Meowth Balloon comes sailing by through the night sky and it turns out that.... OH MY GOD! IT WAS TEAM ROCKET ALL ALONG! The twerps demand the Pokémon back, and Matt cries out that those Pokémon are his responsibility! "You Pokesitters are such a bore!" "An evil as old as the galaxy!" "Sent here to fulfil our destiny!" "Wif Meowth daaaat's me!" "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" "To extend our reach to the stars above!" "Jesse!" "And James!" "Meowth's da name!" "Wherever there’s peace in the universe!" "Team Rocket!" "Will be dere!" "To make everything worse!" they finish together. "WOBBBBBB-BUH!" "Mime Mime!" They laugh that they're going to enjoy evolving the Pokémon and using the tough results for their own purposes. Ash has other ideas though... well, one idea... the same idea as always... a Thunderbolt! Before Pikachu can blast them though, Jesse opens the trolley hanging beneath the basket, and they realise that they can't shock Team Rocket without shocking the kidnapped Pokémon too. Then May and Max realize they can use Larvitar's Sandstorm, and the small Pokémon blasts the balloon and sends it spiralling out of control, crashing into the ground. Team Rocket fall out of their basket as the twerps and Matt grab the Pokémon, Larvitar even letting May pet it. Jesse is furious and sends out Seviper with a Bite attack as James sends in Cacnea to use Pin Missile, but of course how can it NOT hug James? Ash has Pikachu use Volt Tackle and it bypasses Seviper and sends Team Rocket blasting off again! At the Centre, Bagon is all better, and Brock leads the others in to see it even though the only one it would know would be Ash and Matt. The next day, Scott has finished fixing the bus having apparently been up all night. The twerps say their goodbyes to the Pokémon, Bagon hugging Ash who was terrified he was going to get headbutted again. They all hop into the bus and drive off, and then Brandon's Assistant rushes up all excited, because now he actually DOES have some information! It seems that Brandon has found the Pokémon he was looking for and is now heading back. So it won't be long until Ash's rematch. But one deadly and controversial question remains.... Why did they make the wind turbine 3d?
